I'm extremely shy & probably a bit awkward to most!!!  I've definitely got to warm up to you!!!  I'm a very stern & blunt person. You either love me or hate me with no in between!!!  I have a love for people that's incomprehensible which is hard on my heart most of the time.  My inspiration, rock, guide, support, always got my back, strength, & to never give up has always came from my Mom who shows what a true single Mother can do to survive and rise above!!!  Thanks Mom!!!  I'm a workaholic!!!  I love culture and am beyond inquisitive about everything; Nosy!!!  I'm the kid that never got passed the "Why" phase!!!  Spontaneity can't keep up with me & my Spirit is something you've never seen before!!!  The World can be cruel Love More & Judge Less as we all do things we never thought we would do!!! .

Joyce B

Mississippi
Hi, I'm Joyce.  I've been married for over 24 years, with 4 kids, 3 grands and a Shih Tzu named Sweetie!  I've also been a nurse for 24+ years in various settings, with my most cherished and rewarding experience being in hospice. A patient once asked me what I'd be doing if I wasn't a nurse...I have yet to figure that out!  I'm looking forward to embarking on this incredible journey with my teammates.

Patricia B

Pennsylvania

My name is Patricia Blanchard. I am the youngest of six children. I was born and raised in New York and relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after completing college. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Drexel University. I have been practicing nursing for nearly ten years and love every minute of it, even the most challenging days. I have experience in interventional cardiology, medical-surgical trauma, and emergency care. Nursing was not my first career choice but God used many vessels to direct me towards this career path. I always loved to help people in any way I can. So, obtaining a degree in nursing was fitting. I am so grateful to have given the opportuntiy to extend my aid with NursesWithPurpose. I look forward to meeting everyone and gaining new life changing experiences.

I'm also a nursing student, short term goal is to become a RN (SANE nursing) and long term, a NP. I love to laugh, travel, read, good food and music and I love life!! I feel my best when I'm helping others in need and I've found my purpose to do so, in nursing! I'm so grateful for this opportunity and to see the beautiful culture. I hope for humbling experiences, new relationships and lasting memories. All while taking something meaningful from this trip and leaving an impact. More than anything, I'm blessed to be able to visit this country in memory/honor of my amazing moma. Wouldn't be where I am without her. I'm so excited!!
